Moving a Laundry Business From Phone Bookings to a Full Ordering App

A look at how one laundry and dry cleaning business replaced manual scheduling with a self service app customers actually preferred.

The Client and Their Challenge

Our client ran a laundry and dry cleaning service that took nearly every booking over the phone. Staff manually logged pickup times, garment types, and pricing on paper or in a shared spreadsheet, which meant double bookings, missed pickups, and no way for customers to check order status without calling back.

As demand grew, the phone based system became the bottleneck. Staff spent more time on scheduling calls than on operations, and customers had no visibility into where their order stood once it left their hands.

How We Resolved It

We handed over our white label laundry app, fully rebranded around the client's identity, with a customer app, a driver app, and an admin panel to replace the manual process entirely. Customers could book a pickup window, select services by garment type, and track their order from pickup through delivery, all without a phone call.

The admin panel gave staff a single view of every order and route, replacing the spreadsheet with a live dashboard they could manage from one screen.

Challenges We Faced Along the Way

  • Building a flexible service catalog. Laundry pricing varies by garment type, service level, and turnaround time, so the catalog needed enough structure to stay accurate without becoming confusing to browse.
  • Coordinating pickup and delivery windows. Routing pickups and drop offs efficiently across the day meant the scheduling logic had to account for driver capacity, not just customer preference.
  • Earning trust in a new booking method. Long time customers were used to calling in, so the app needed to feel simple enough that switching over didn't feel like extra work.

The Outcome

Online bookings quickly became the primary way customers scheduled service, and missed pickups dropped once scheduling moved out of a shared spreadsheet and into a system built to manage it. Staff spent less time on the phone and more time keeping operations running smoothly, and repeat customers began using the app's saved preferences to rebook in a few taps.

"We used to lose track of orders constantly. Now everything from pickup to delivery is in one place, and our customers actually prefer booking through the app over calling us."

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to launch a white label laundry app?

Most launches with DeliveryBee go live within 3 to 4 weeks, depending on how much service catalog customization and payment integration the project needs.

Can the app support multiple laundry locations?

Yes. Each location can be managed as its own zone with its own service catalog, pricing, and delivery routes, all from one admin panel.

Do we own the app after it's built?

Yes. DeliveryBee's white label license is a one time payment that includes full source code and IP ownership, with no recurring commission.

Can we add new services or pricing tiers later?

Yes. Since you own the source code, your team or ours can update the service catalog and pricing structure any time.

What payment methods does the app support?

The app can integrate local payment gateways to support cards, digital wallets, and cash on delivery, based on the markets you're operating in.
